Cause my mom died earlier this year so I have an empty house in some of the world's most stunning real estate. I wanted to invite my friends up to Montana and have them see this part of the world and spend some great times building friendships with other technologists and content developers.

The idea came from O'Reilly's FooCamp, which is a closed campout that you have to be invited to. I was for the first two years but they didn't invite me last year or this year. So, figured I'd start my own camp that'd be open to the public and see who'd take the long road trip to come.

(and because Robert is a really nice guy - that likes to be surrounded my nice (and smart) people. (Robert didn't write that last sentence - Rob did :) )
