I’m a Seattle software developer and outdoor enthusiast. For almost 20 years I’ve worked in a variety of areas for companies large, small and in between. I got my start in college working internships for HP and Intel. I worked at Microsoft on OS/2, early multimedia applications and mouse software. More recently, I’ve worked on PalmOS and WindowsCE applications. My latest projects have been focused on web driven education ventures.
Outdoor recreation is also a big part of my life. When I started contract work I named my company Rainwater Software, figuring that I would create software when it was raining and be outdoors when it was not! I am presently making good use of my time between jobs finishing construction of a triple kayak for my wife and dog.
Given my love of technology and the outdoors, OffTheGrid camp sounded like an event not to be missed! It should be a great chance to relax, meet and chat with some interesting folks and enjoy a beautiful part of the country!
Looking forward to meeting all of you!
Wayne
